Community Health Educators and Maternal Health: Experimental Evidence from Northern Nigeria

The slow pace of improvement in service delivery and health outcomes for pregnant women newborns developing countries has been a major concern policy makers recent decades. This paper presents the results from randomized controlled trial community worker program designed to enhance uptake child maternal services Northern Nigeria. Three interventions were evaluated: deployment educators, educators with provision safe birth kits, dramas. suggest that increased utilization antenatal, postnatal, infant care.
